No visit to Dubai is complete without a trip to the Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park. It might be called a park, but it is more akin to a kingdom because there is so much to see and do. If you are planning a visit to Dubai, then a trip here is a must on your itinerary.
Rides and thrills
The slides are fantastic and great fun! With over 30 slides, ranging from vertical drops to tube slides, including a tube-slide that passes through a perspex viewing section within a shark tank.
Each one is tremendously different and a lot of fun in its own unique way, and we really recommend that you try each slide at least once.
However, if you don’t have the time to try each slide, then you will be happy to know that the slides have a rating, which indicates what type of slide you are looking at, which ensures that you don’t have to wait too long in a queue. It also means that you can curate your experience to be more adrenalin-fueled or calmer and more relaxing.
The aquamarine and water sports
As thrilling as the rides are, this is not the only thing you to do at the water park. The park is situated near the beach, perfect for sun-bathing or a long walk, if you are ever so inclined. But best of all, you can visit the aquamarine within the park itself. We loved our visit to the aquamarine because it doesn’t take a long time to walk around and you can spend as little or as much time inside as you like.
The aquamarine has over 21 sections containing over 65,000 different marine animals. Walking through the aquamarine is an experience in itself because you will see different species ranging from black tip reef sharks to jellyfish. There is also a lot to do in the aquamarine because there are guided tours and daily feeds where you can feed some of the more friendly aquamarine animals directly, which was quite the experience!
Furthermore, there are also several fantastical exhibits about the mythical city of Atlantis, which leant the aquamarine that distinct edge compared to other places out there.
But if aquamarine does not strike your fancy, then there are other watersports and other activities you can do. You can go aqua-trekking, snorkeling, and diving. There is even a choice between motorized and non-motorized watersports where you can hire a kayak or a paddle board to explore the waters at your pace, book an adventure on a boat tour, or power through the waves with a jet ski ride.
Restaurants and Dining
Between the water slides, the aquamarine, and the water sports, you might work up an appetite. Fortunately, the water park has you covered! There are over 16 different food and drink outlets throughout the park, ranging from fully-fledged restaurants to simple food kiosks.
There are cafes, ice cream parlors, smoothie bars, and snack kiosks offering a variety of dishes, including pizza, sandwiches, noodles, or traditional Arabian dishes. Whether you are looking to have lunch or just a quick snack, there is something for everyone.
Having said that, we recommend that you have a good breakfast before coming because the food is on the pricey side, with drinks costing as much as $5 per can. While dining is a great option, be prepared to fork out some serious cash to eat here.
A water adventure that will stay with you!
Overall, the Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park is a great place to visit because there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking for something fun to do with the family, seeking a thrill, or looking to relax on the beach, there is something you can do. I have never seen a water park that delivers so many things to do, each one so well-thought-out and entertaining.
If you visit the water park, you are guaranteed to make some incredible memories when you are there because there are so many fun, memorable things to do. If you are in Dubai, be sure to spend at least one day at this incredible park!
